By Decree No. 645, published in Official Gazette 761 on August 14, 2025, the Council of Ministers of the Romanian Government has approved a medical and surgery degree program at the Policlinico di Monza. Specifically, this will be held at the “Novarello Villaggio Azzurro” Center in Novara, which will serve as an extension of UMF “Iuliu Hațieganu” Cluj- Napoca, one of the world’s top 500 universities, as Campus Novarello.

This initiative, born from collaboration between the Romanian and Italian governments, holds European significance and falls within the international programs of the PNRR. All courses will be taught entirely in English.

The degree program will admit 100 students each year, with classes beginning in the 2025/2026 academic year.

Campus Novarello plans to expand its facilities to accommodate up to 500 students.

Novarello Villaggio Azzurro will continue to host scientific conferences and sporting events as usual,
but it will also welcome an important new educational presence,
attracting medical students not only from Italy but also from many other countries.

Campus Novarello offers students a safe and supportive environment designed to meet any personal needs related to their studies.

Family members can also visit and stay in the same four-star hotel within the student village.
Shuttle service connects the campus to Malpensa Airport (30 minutes) and Novara train station (15 minutes).
